RiuDolç Brass was born within the Conservatori Superior de Música de les Illes Balears in 2014. A group made up of five young people, who participate in the competition that the same establishment offers to its students. They managed to be awarded, in recognition of their chamber work, since then the group has become stable. From the first day the group maintains the original formation with Carlos Navarro and José Fernando Garcia on trumpet, Diego Riudavets on trombone, Taylor Townsend on French horn and Felipe Arroyo on tuba, which gives them their own sound that has been developed over the years. .

RiuDolç has given master classes in Valencia and has performed in its extensive territory, in places such as Teulada, Polop de la Marina, Burriana, the José Iturbi Professional Conservatori in Valencia. On the island of Mallorca during the Deia Chamber Music Festival, where it has established itself as a reference group within the festival itself, in the teaching cycle of the Conservatori Superior, in the music school of Binissalem, in the cycle of organ concerts in Sa Pobla for its 300th anniversary and in various music schools in Palma on a pedagogical basis.

Thanks to the support of the Ramon Llull Institute, this year they celebrated their 8th anniversary by performing concerts throughout Spain and in the United States for the second consecutive year.

Its main rule is to break with the pre-established and create new show formats, where the public actively participates and stops being a cold and distant performance, something very well received in the press by the critic Emili Gené.
They have performed alongside international soloists such as Josep Burguera, Steven Mead or Adán Delgado (soloist of the ONE), as well as having collaborated together with Pere Garcías (trombone of the OSIB), Mario Molina and Magí Garcies Frau, both pianists of European relevance, Pedro Aguiló, Ruben Gonzalez Mateo (professor at the Conservatori Superior de les Illes Balears) among others.
RiuDolç Brass is a group that includes in its programs original works for the group composed by musicians from the Balearic Islands or who reside in them, always seeking musical enrichment for the culture of the islands.
Today its members perform in professional orchestras, pursue master's degrees in Europe, and are recognized pedagogues on an individual level.

Various concert formats, with a minimum of 1 hour of music, and a maximum of 1.5 hours of concert, in which the listener feels surrounded by musicians who connect with them and make them feel like participants:

●Pedagogical:

-‘’Get to know the brass instruments from RiuDolç”:
Educational concert ideal for school groups where the different instruments of the brass family are shown through great music classics and with educational explanations about each of them. Listeners are offered the possibility of participating in the concert by trying each of the different instruments and experimenting with them, creating a playful and interesting learning atmosphere.

●‘’The story of a soldier’’

-Version for brass quintet and narrator of the work by I. Stravinsky based on the Russian children's story with the same name. There is the possibility of also programming it as a Pedagogical Concert.

●Participatory:

- Ideal format for music schools or conservatories where the concert is preceded by a masterclass (duration to be agreed upon) where we work individually and collectively with the students. After the individual classes, a rehearsal is carried out with the quintet where the repertoire to be played in the subsequent concert will be prepared, forming a metal ensemble.

●Metal and Band Quintet:

- “Flamenca Fantasy” by J.V. Egea for solo metal quintet and symphonic band. Hispanic work of medium difficulty for band, lasting around 20 minutes.

●Lyrical gala:

- Concert in metal quintet and solo singer format. The repertoire is developed through great arias from the history of opera or zarzuela with different singers depending on the theme.

●Virtuosos from the Balearic Islands:

- Accompanied by great soloists from the Balearic Islands such as Josep Burgera, Pere Garcias, Pedro Aguiló or Magí Garcies and through works by composers such as A. Guilmant, Jose María Núñez, J.N. Hummel or G. Gershwin, their limits are explored. Uncommon formations, such as a metal quintet with piano, come to light, breaking with pre-established sonorities.

●Nationalist monographs:

- Concerts in which you can choose the program to perform, composers and music from Russia, America, Spain or the Balearic Islands. Monographs about Bernstein and Gershwin, Falla, Turina and Talens, Balearic Folklore with music by composers from the islands or great concerts with Russian music.

●At the foot of the altar:

- Concerts with organ, under the music of Mussorgsky and his kyiv Gate, music by Handel, Bach, with romantic or Iberian organ. A program with solo music that, thanks to the sound of the churches, large or small, makes the space special and unique for a repertoire that makes your skin crawl.
